Minimum Qualifications

Six years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Oversees LDH's statewide movable property program, including approval of agency procedures, inventory compliance, and management of property assets valued at approximately $57.8 million.
  • Reviews and analyzes agency inventory certifications and audit findings, provides technical guidance to Property Managers, and coordinates responses with internal and external auditors.

  • Directs the statewide telecommunications program by overseeing telecommunications policies, service requests, and more than 2,500 cellular devices and service accounts valued at over $2.5 million.

  • Monitors telecommunications program expenditures, develops budget projections, and manages billing and payment issues with agency Telecommunications Coordinators.

  • Serves as the department's technical consultant on office telecommunications, coordinating with the Office of Technology Management (OTM) on projects, policy updates, and wireless communication initiatives, including FirstNet.

  • Plans, coordinates, and manages complex agency-wide administrative projects by identifying stakeholders, developing timelines, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Responds to requests from LDH executive leadership, LPAA, Internal Audit, and the Louisiana Legislative Auditor while ensuring compliance with state property control and telecommunications policies.
