The Research Associate 2 in Radiology Research and Teaching will assist with ongoing research projects and teaching within the Radiology service at the direction of radiology faculty.
- 50% Assist with teaching for Phase 1 and Phase 2 students under direction of Dr. Granger and the faculty radiologists.
- 10% Data collection and analysis: request or acquire equipment needed for projects, maintain accurate records with appropriate backup of data, enter data into excel spreadsheet for analysis, collect and recruit research subjects or cadavers either on-site or off-site.
- 10% Conduct literature reviews: obtain detailed knowledge of research area prior to data collection, be able to summarize literature concisely.
- 10% Summarize project results: provide opinions on results documented and on analysis of data.
- 5% Prepare manuscripts and presentations: serve as primary author on a retrospective project, serve as additional author by providing input on manuscript for additional projects collaborating with radiology residents and faculty, assist with preparation of presentations relative to the research, where applicable.
- 5% Schedule and attend meetings relative to ongoing research projects with all collaborating researchers.
- 5% Serve as liaison between radiology resident and faculty mentor for collaborating projects.
- 5% Assist with research design: work with faculty radiologist, radiology resident, and collaborators on formulating a research design at the initiation of a project idea.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field and one year of related work experience.

Special or Physical Requirements:
Required to be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for prolonged periods, able to reach above and below the shoulder, sitting, bending, pushing/pulling, grasping, squatting, and/or twisting.
